Ryan Kerrigan flexing on way to Redskins sack record

Celebrating like the”Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels and appeared just like just one other Washington Redskins participant ahead of him, Ryan Kerrigan has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
His daughter Lincoln was welcomed to the world in March while 31 wills turn in August and becoming a father has motivated Kerrigan to elongate his livelihood.
“I’d like my daughter and more future kids to be able to recall some component of my football career,” Kerrigan told the Rundown podcast via the team website. “I don’t want them hearing me speak about football and then like,’Oh, dad’s living before, like he probably was not even very good.’
“I need them to have the ability to experience a great deal of the pleasure that comes with being a professional soccer player and don’t forget the experiences that they have.”

No signs of a slowed measure have shrunk Kerrigan however, as he’s racked up double-digit sacks in 3 consecutive seasons — and four of the last five — with three straight Pro Bowl selections. A four-time Pro Bowler, Kerrigan’s 84.5 sacks are second on Washington’s all-time record behind Dexter Manley’s 91.0.
As a rookie in 2011 later Washington drafted him in the first round, Kerrigan submitted 7.5 sacks. That has stood as his profession low, so if his numbers are preserved, he will eclipse Manley this season.
“I’ll never take any sack for granted since they’re all hard to grasp,” Kerrigan said. “But yeah, we’ll cross that bridge when it comes.”
Since 2014, a little bit of flash and flex has followed the sacks of Kerrigan. Both biceps flexed, one knee bent, the leg it’s a pose associated with Hall of Famer, a longtime World Wrestling Entertainment star and Michaels. It is as Kerrigan has notched 13 sacks in each of the past two seasons, a party that has been called upon a lot.
“It just caught on like wildfire,” Kerrigan said. “I had been a Shawn Michaels fan before and it was insane how quickly it became something.”
Celebrating like HBK will be a thing for many more sacks to come if Kerrigan’s programs fall consistent.
